CHARITIES

Nominated charities the team will support at this stage are Farleigh Hospice, Mercy Corps Mongolia, Hope and Homes for Children, Lauren Page Trust and St Johns Ambulance.

We plan to donate to other good causes so keen an eye out for more additions.

Caring for the lives of individuals and their families who have been touched by cancer or other life limiting illnesses. It's about extra-ordinary people taking the time to improve the lives of others; about adding life to days, even when days can't be added to life. We are the sole provider of hospice care in Mid Essex and our huge range of services are offered completely free of charge.

SJA believes that everyone who needs it should receive first aid from those around them. No-one should suffer for the lack of trained first aiders. Our volunteers are well known for the thousands of hours they spend each year ensuring public events are safe. We're also the leading first aid training provider in the UK and the third largest youth organisation.

Hope and Homes for Children (HHC) gives hope to the poorest children in the world – those who are orphaned, abandoned or vulnerable – by enabling them to grow up within the love of a family and the security of a home, so that they can fulfil their potential.

Mercy Corps Mongolia supports rural communities to meet their economic and social needs, helping individuals, families and communities to become more self-sufficient, diversified in their production, and better linked to local, regional and national markets.

The Lauren Page Trust is a charity set up to raise money to further the work of Consultant Obstetric Physicians who deal with women who have serious health problems during pregnancy often resulting in premature births. Also, supporting the work of Special Care Baby Units within the Greater London area in the form of research, specialist staff and equipment.
